Common questions

Do I need an account to use Box•E?
No. You can use all free features without signing in. An account is only required for cloud backup, Cloud Sync sharing, and other Premium features.
What happens to my data if I cancel Premium?
Your local Box•E data stays on your devices. After Premium ends, cloud-backed data moves into a 90-day read-only retention window, and Box•E shows reminder banners around days 60, 80, and 90 so you have clear warning before anything is removed. If you do not resume Premium during that window, only the cloud copy is deleted. Local data already on your devices is untouched.
Can I use Box•E on multiple devices?
Yes. Free users can install Box•E locally on as many devices as they like, but cloud sync is not included. Premium and Premium+ support up to 5 signed-in synced devices or browsers at a time, and a signed-in web browser counts toward that same limit. You can review and remove signed-in devices from Settings → Account → Devices. Cloud storage is still shared across those devices under your subscription quota (5 GB Premium, 50 GB Premium+).
How does billing work?
Subscriptions are managed through Google Play or Apple App Store. They renew automatically at the end of each billing period. To cancel, manage your subscription in your store account settings — no need to contact us.
